My flower neighbor

One of the disadvantages (if there is one) of moving to our new house, is that I miss the wonderful neighbors I had on my other street. Ok, it's only 2 streets away, but I don't get to see them everyday like I used to.

My wonderful, former across the street neighbor, Debbie, called me yesterday morning to tell me about a sale on hanging baskets.  She is the most wonderful gardener, even winning yard of the month last year.  When I lived by her, I would know it was time to weed because she'd be out there with her kids cleaning up the yard.  I'd know it was seed planting time because she'd be outside with brown paper sacks of seeds she'd collected from the year before.  I miss that.

But she always informs me of the best deals on baskets right before mother's day.  And this year she also got me pots at Costco because they run out so fast...AND when she came by, she advised me on some design for my front flower beds.  What a sweet lady!

Debbie, love you lots and really miss having you as my gardening consultant and listening ear.
